To permanently delete your WhatsApp account, follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp and go to “Settings”.
- Tap on “Account” and then “Delete my account”.
- Enter your phone number in the full international format (+ [country code] [phone number]).
- Tap on the drop-down menu and select the reason for deleting your account.
- Confirm that you want to delete your account by tapping on “Delete my account”.
- Enter your phone number again to confirm that you want to delete your account.
- Tap on “Delete my account” again to complete the process.
Once you delete your WhatsApp account, your messages, contacts, and account information will be deleted permanently and cannot be restored. Additionally, you will be removed from all WhatsApp groups, and your WhatsApp backups on Google Drive or iCloud will also be deleted. If you want to keep your chat history, be sure to back it up before deleting your account.
